Privacy policy

This policy explains what information QA Vibes (“we”) collects when you visit https://qavibes.com, and how it is used. The owner should review this page with legal counsel before relying on it.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts and we set no cookies ourselves; the ones Google sets are described under Google Analytics and Advertising. The Bug report grader runs entirely in your browser; text you paste into it is never transmitted.
The QA engineer roadmap remembers which steps you mark as done by saving them in your browser's local storage. That list never leaves your device; clear it with the roadmap's reset button or your browser settings. The AI test challenge keeps your answers the same way, so you can leave and come back; its Start again button clears them.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and reliability. These logs are retained according to the provider's policy.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views, outbound link clicks, and a few tool actions: copying the practice lab config, scoring a practice report, exporting pairwise test cases, saving a pairwise test matrix to a file, checking existing test cases against a pairwise model and filling the gaps, reopening a saved test matrix, solving a case on the diagnose page, starting, finishing or restarting the AI test challenge and copying its prompt (how many predictions were right, never which), checking a query in the SQL lab, following the tool an article suggests, copying a competency self-assessment summary (how many areas you assessed, never which levels), and comparing two versions of your own test. These events record that the action happened, plus counts and fixed labels such as how many practice bugs were caught, which SQL lab task was checked and whether it passed, or roughly how long ago a reopened matrix was saved (same day, under a week, 1 to 4 weeks, or a month or more). They never include what you typed or pasted. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or track you across sites.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools are used. It records the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your browser and device type, and it stores cookies such as _ga under this site's domain to recognise a returning browser. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent first; until they agree, Google Analytics stores no cookies for them. Google describes how it uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense, except on practice pages. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and some of them (such as __gads and __gpi) are stored under this site's domain. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Outbound links
Articles link to third-party tools and documentation. Some links may be affiliate links; the destination site's own privacy policy applies once you leave this site.
